I added a dozen more jokes to my June Jokes lens so it's now up to date, but WAIT - if you like Stand Up Comedy, you won't want to miss the joke for 14th June . The 14th June is a video clip of a British Comedian making fun of Americans as well as us British. If you don't mind a few swear words, I think you will find this hilarious. You might have to listen a couple of times because of the accent, but I hope you will drop by and enjoy :)

I took my 2 daughters out today to breakfast at Golden Corral. Buffet food is easiest for 7 and 3 year olds, and if you are not from the USA, let me say that for $13.44 for the 3 of us, that includes made to order omelette's and waffles, sausage, egg, grits, hash browns, corned beef hash, a gazillion of other items, plus if you so desire, salad, fruit, and the bakery - dozens of fresh pies and cakes, cookies, a banana cream pie to die for, and ice cream. It's no wonder that a number of the regulars are larger than life, but it's typical of the American value for money eateries that you find everywhere. From there we went to the Children's Museum, where they had fun as usual playing on everything and running around. I have been working on my latest Squidoo lens for a few weeks, and it's taken a whole week of man-hours to complete it, but finally it's ready to be unveiled.... TA-DAH.... 2 weeks ago I bought an iPod for my girlfriend from bestbuy.com. I used a CJ (Commission Junction) affiliate link on my site to place the order, so I got 1% commission, as well as the $12.50 special savings that they were giving, and I opted to pick up the order from the store. All well and good, until 4 days later when the iPod goes faulty and I try to return it... At the store where I picked it up, they insisted that they had to credit me for the original purchase and that I would have to pick up a new unit from the floor. Well it's not on sale in the store - only online! They insisted that bestbuy.com is a different entity, so they can't exchange the item or give the same price in the store. And so, since my girlfriend was travelling back to the UK that evening, I had to pay full price for a replacement iPod, which I was very reluctant to do. With over 200 visits in the last 7 days and a great Google ranking, my Religious Jokes lens has been in first position for a while, however overnight My Claim To Fame somehow, maybe with a discreet secret Angel Blessing or something, leapt into the lead, and it's now my top performing lens. With only 65 visits in the last 7 days, My Claim To Fame is now in the top 200 out of over 500,000 lenses, the first time I have managed that with any lens, and also it's #5 in the Entertainment category, a tough category to do well in. It's also now 4th in Google if you search for "My Claim To Fame", so all in all I'm extremely happy right now. I still have to see what the rest of the month of June brings though...
